Description

The Series 2 Base is a standard automation platform configured specifically for tabletop operation of our standard Applicator products. The Series 2 Base provides a common platform for mounting and alignment of any LC or PL Series Applicator and a Nest/Fixture for locating your product as the adhesive component is applied.  Fixtures that require additional automation can be implemented in the Series 2 Base.  This can include movement of the Fixture in a sequential process. The Series 2 Base includes a PLC that is used to manage the operations of the Series 2 Base and Applicator.

The Series 2 Base also includes a separate Safety PLC which is used to monitor and manage all safety devices including a light curtain, guard switches, and other safety switches that may be implemented in the system to ensure safe operation.

The Series 2 Base is an excellent option for semi-automated production. The Applicator can easily be removed from the Series 2 Base and used in high-volume automation if/when production requirements exceed the capacity of the Series 2 Base.

Nautilus Systems Brushless Takeup
<p>The Brushless Takeup arm increases capacity of the standard takeup for a PL100 or PL165 Applicator. The brushless motor operates quietly and is longer lasting than the standard brushed motor takeup.</p>

<p>The PL Series Service Rail allows a PL Series Applicator to be moved between Service and Working locations when integrated into automation. An integrated Docking Lock ensures precise and repeatable positioning at the Working location.</p>

Nautilus Systems Aluminum Reel Plates
<p>Aluminum Reel Plates reduce or eliminate opportunity that reel plates will be damaged when the Operator is servicing or loading material rolls. Custom Reel Plate sizes are also available.</p>

Nautilus Systems Heavy Takeup
<p>The Heavy Takeup option adds a feature that allows the Operator to utilize the Takeup to advance the material through the system while loading material. The blue knob provides strength and durability not offered by the standard takeup key feature.</p>
Nautilus Systems Takeup Reel
<p>The optional Takeup Reel plates ensure that spent liner material rolls up evenly on the Takeup roller. These are particularly useful for applications running narrow liners.</p>
