NSI is privately owned and managed by the founding engineers and partners who, along with other senior leaders, continue to lead and participate in all aspects of the business.

The company was founded in 1999 in Tempe, AZ as a provider of custom automation systems.  While custom automation provided our starting point, our longer-term vision was developing adhesive component placement systems as products with intent to be the best in the world in that area.  By the early 2000’s we had our first products and by 2010 custom automation had become secondary to our products. 

We relocated our operations to north Phoenix, AZ in 2004 and continued to expand our product offerings and grow our reputation and customer base.  We expanded to a second facility in 2018 and a third facility in 2024 resulting in the campus configuration in which we currently operate.  Each acquisition of facilities has afforded us the opportunity to restructure and enhance our operations to meet our specific needs and thus the needs of our customers.

Our team is full of talented Engineering, Technician, Operations, Sales, Quality, and Administrative personnel who we invest in and greatly value.  We continue to invest in operations both in terms of capital equipment such as CNC Machinery and Inspection Systems and in other areas such as ERP, WMS, and SFES software and our Quality Management System (QMS).

Our customers come from many industries.  Our success is based on the adoption of our systems by our customers and the high percentages of customers who repeat business with us over many years as they realize new requirements that can utilize our solutions.

NSI was blessed to celebrate 25 years of operations in 2024.  To date we have developed and shipped three generations of ‘Placer’ Applicators and two generations of ‘Print and Apply’ Applicators.  We’ve also offered multitudes of accessories to enhance the standard Applicators for special requirements along with semi-auto platforms and turnkey automation solutions for specific applications such as Tube and Vial labeling, Syringe Labeling, and other customer-specific requirements.  Along with that we’ve maintained our ability to provide custom solutions in targeted areas.

Next-Gen Placer systems are currently in development including our higher-performing Phi Series which are a derivative of custom engineered Applicators we’ve been shipping since 2013.  We believe we are still near the beginning of what is possible and look forward to continuing our innovations based both on our experiences and learnings as well as on customer requests and industry needs.
